Welcome to the Deacon Formation Program! As you know, there are many facets to your formation—we must attend to your human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral growth as part of your growing identity as a deacon / deacon’s wife.
While the bulk of weekend time is spent on your intellectual formation, there are two hours set aside on Saturday afternoon (2:30-4:30) for specific attention to be paid to other areas of formation. Of course, you are also being formed by your participation in the liturgy (especially the Eucharist and Liturgy of the Hours), by your ministerial involvements, by the time spent with your mentor couple and spiritual director. But this two-hour block gives us the opportunity to address specific issues important to diaconal ministry.
